Had the renowned 'Del Boy' turned up on Saturday in Tamworth's rnowned manufacture the Robin Reliant, on surveying the scene he would have remoarked "Loverly jubbly" ! Indeed the conditions were neat perfect for a good game of Rugby.
The team sheet, however, may have raised an eyebrow and the comment "Au Contraire". Our team list, although containing the names of players with individual ability, was a list of players who had little experience of playing together regularly.
A sprightly start saw us put points on the scoreboard early on giving the impression of "Mange Tout"
As the weather became more unpredictable so did we and flashes of our old inspired play were overshadowed by our inconsistencies. Tamworth, who were hardly "Creme de la Menthe" were allowed to put more points on the scoreboard as it all went "Chateau Neuf du Pape".
Towards the end of the second half we cam together for a short time and reduced the deficit to within three points and hed to accept "Boeuf a la mode", a situation that hopefully will not become the Norm.
